Language Supports

Individuals calling toll-free to 1-877-761-1155 will be offered information and access to all five Welcome Centres throughout York Region. Dedicated language-specific specialists are also available to assist clients who have limited or no English language skills. A total of 15 language-specific phone lines are available for individuals to call directly to receive support and information in their native language - information can be found by selecting a link in the multi-lingual menu above.

Clients can also access interpretation and translation supports. Experienced, professional interpreters are available at no cost to clients. Interpreters will assist with appointment setting and will accompany clients to any Welcome Centre to help them access the services and programs offered.
